Wisdom Inspired Wellness is literally my life work because every
class and service that I offer is a direct result of illnesses that I have had,
some life threatening, that doctors could not diagnose or treat. I lived through some very difficult circumstances that inspired me to learn, accept or overcome.
I had to research, study and look for ways to get well, and not only did I find
the answers that I needed, and made a full recovery every single time, but I began to
meet people along the way who needed answers and as I shared what I had learned
and experienced, a passion for holistic family wellness was born.
This process began 32 years ago, and in that time, I have
continued to study nutrition, herbs, aromatherapy, natural childbirth, midwifery,
energy healing, psychology, and more. Eventually, I took formal classes in all
of these areas.
Experience brought the realization of the underlying
spiritual aspect of illness and unhappiness. I went back to school for two
more years to lay a spiritual foundation that I could build on, and was
ordained in 1999, but I was still missing something.
I thought of my doctor in Los Angeles who taught me about vibrational
medicine, and starting taking his classes. After training and practicing for
awhile, I was able to do so much more. I learned that about 85% of the time
physical symptoms are rooted in the mental, emotional, psychological and
spiritual realms. This is why some illnesses or conditions seem to be
unresponsive to medications or natural remedies. That was the key and from
there I have been able to do more me, my family and my clients than I ever imagined.
Out of all that, I ended up with six years of college, two
certifications in childbirth education and fitness training, a Pastoral Studies
diploma and ordination, completed midwifery school, as well as the skills
and clinical training required for licensure in SC. I have no degree because I changed my major from pre-med
to alternative modalities, but I have a lifetime of learning and experience
that is beyond any degree and more importantly, I am confident, after years of working with hundreds of wonderful people, that there is no degree that would serve me or you better than the education that came from life itself. To view my complete Bio click the About Melita tab on the home page.
